If you’re in Los Angeles and want a reminder of our hippie past, stop at the Flower Child restaurant in Santa Monica where you’ll be transported back in time. What’s ironic is that most of its clientele are too young to remember the 60’s.
It’s an organic eatery located on 2nd Street, near the ocean, and offers all healthy vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals to keep you young as a flower child forever. LOL
I was there for a meeting where we dined buffet-style on some of their popular dishes which I enjoyed with a glass of organic Malbec wine and herbal iced tea.
Just FYI: Buffets may now be passe due to COVID.
Flower Child is a restaurant that cares about what you put into your body. They source their ingredients from local organic non-GMO farmers and use compassionately bred natural chicken, grass-fed beef, sustainable seafood. Their philosophy is “Healthy food for a happy world.”
The decor is quirky with a large Twiggy poster prominently displayed along with peace signs, and other 60’s-inspired knick-knacks.
If you’re in Santa Monica, stop into Flower Child for a bite and get your groove on. They also have locations in Dallas, Arcadia, Austin, Del Mar, Scottsdale, and Uptown. (in Phoenix) All that’s missing is the pot.
