Get your fill of secondhand nostalgia!
The area is known for its collection of eclectic shops, boutiques, and restaurants but especially its vintage clothing and antique shops.
Halloween is huge on the street as the block has a host of costume shops where you can rent or buy garb for all occasions. It’s a Wrap sells clothing and props cast off by the nearby movie studios and you can find amazing deals on classy clothing items.
Playclothes Vintage is another filled-to-the-brim vintage clothing and accessories store that features clothing from the 1920s – 1990s as well as wedding dresses and designer clothes. It also carries vintage hats, purses, shoes, lingerie, kitchenware, pottery, and everything in between.
Magnolia Park is an excellent place to go for collectibles such as toys from Blast from the Past, old records from Run Out Groove Records, videos from Be Kind Videos and vintage-style makeup from Besame Cosmetics.
Grab a bite to eat
If you are a coffee lover there are several hip coffee houses including Romancing the Bean Cafe, Blvd Cafecito, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and The Palm Coffee Bar where you can hang out with locals and grab a snack. Vintage Oddities has everything from caskets to gargoyles and other mystic items. They even have fortune telling events. Crusty Bunkers offers comic books and toys.
Entertainment
Magnolia Park is the home of the LA Connection Comedy Theatre which has been a showcase for improv since 1977.
The area has been featured in several movies and TV shows, including “Pretty Little Liars” and “Gilmore Girls.”
