Have you ever read a travel post and wondered how you could take a tour with it using your smartphone? Trying to read a post and stay on track while walking can be difficult. But what if the post was turned into a guided tour using an app?

GPSmyCity is an app that does just that and it has turned some of my posts into tours and other travel writers. Once you download it onto your smartphone, it uses GPS to find locations near you with articles about the best places to visit and creates a walking or driving tour.
You can download the tours you want on your phone, so you don’t have to depend on WIFI. That way you can look at them on an airplane or at a remote location without worrying if you have a strong connection. It’s a convenient and affordable way to see the best sights in any city you visit.
There are thousands of articles in the app in over 1000 cities worldwide with proven tours taken by people who have been to each location and experienced it themselves.
You can download any article on the app for free but if you decide you want it to be GPS-guided all you do is pay a small fee of about $2 to upgrade. You can also purchase an annual subscription for only $20 that will give you access to over 6500 guided walks around the world.
