Project Angel Food was founded in 1989 in response to the AIDS crisis but has expanded its mission to help those who have other life-threatening illnesses. It delivers over 1.2 million medically tailored meals each year to feed 2,500 people who are critically ill.
Clifford Bell with Cabarabia Productions produced and directed a fundraiser to benefit Project Angel Food that took place in August 2022, that was called For LIFE. For LOVE. For as long as it takes . . . Celebrating 33 Years of Project Angel Food.
It was a musical event that was performed at the Catalina Jazz Club.
Performers in the cabaret show of Broadway tunes and popular songs included Nita Whitaker, Michael Skloff, Charlo Crossley, Terry Wollman, Melanie Taylor, Beth Lapides, Mitchell Kaplan, Dana Meller, Mark Arthur Miller, Alex Mohajer, Steve Masterson, Angelo Divino, Michel J. Libow, and Katrina Aguilar.
Musical Directors were Michael Collum, David Scott Cohen, Steve Rawlins, and Bill Knewlin along with Kirsh on Bass, Tom Bowe on Drums, and Julie Sax on Saxophone & Flute.
Their credits have extended to performing on Broadway and touring with major performers such as Barry Manilow.
