I don’t have a team of editors and Los Angeles is huge with tons of events going on so it’s impossible to list them all. The ones I have listed below are what I believe to be outstanding and worthy of checking out.

Candlelight Concerts
If you haven’t been to a Candlelight Concert in Los Angeles, you don’t know what you’re missing. I attended one in Santa Monica which you can read about here. You can enjoy 60 minutes of music in a candlelit setting often in historic venues around the city.

Art Amusement Park
Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy is an art happening is taking place near the L.A. Arts District. It is an art amusement park with rides, games, and attractions featuring visionary artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Sonia Delaunay, and David Hockney.
It was revived and curated by singer Drake.
A 1987 carnival was revived and curated by singer Drake in a 60,000-square-foot warehouse complex. Performers include stiltwalkers, jugglers, and puppeteers from Bob Baker Marionettes.
It will be operating until May 12, 2024

What’s Happening at Union Station?
Los Angeles Union Station is once again hosting Angelenos for a night of live music in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month! Metro Art and KJazz are teaming up for KJazz Tracks at Union Station on Saturday, April 27 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
WHAT: In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, Metro Art and KJazz are teaming up for KJazz Tracks at Union Station on Saturday, April 27 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The free concert is open to all with performances taking place in the station’s historic Ticket Concourse. Hosted by KJazz DJ Rhonda Hamilton, the event will feature three uniquely talented artists, including Kassa Overall as headliner, and Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few and Darynn Dean also on the bill.
The first 40 visitors to present their TAP cards to the Metro Art info table will receive a free Metro Art book, Los Angeles Through the Eyes of Artists, and Union Station swag bag!

Events at The Ebell of Los Angeles
The Ebell of Los Angeles, in Hancock Park, was established as a women’s organization in Los Angeles in 1894 and has been empowering women and supporting the arts since then. They offer memberships to women who want to volunteer and support the community. They also host events at their gorgeous and historic clubhouse.

L.A. Theater
CASA 0101 presents En Mi Jardin: Healing With Our Stories on April 19 through May 12, 2024. It is a 10-Minute Play New Works Festival directed by Emmanuel Deleage and Lorena M. Ortega and featuring the work of 13 playwrights and stars 14 actors.
Warning: Some of the language is strong and PG13 is suggested.

Reefer Madness: The Musical
The cult-classic 2005 musical has been given an immersive facelift directed by Spencer Liff and is followed by an exclusive after-party at The Reefer Den off of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The venue is located at The Whitley, 6555 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. It was once a 1930s-era speakeasy. Cosplay (Costumes) are encouraged.
Enjoy live music, curated cocktails, munchies, and access to The Victory Garden, an outdoor space under the stars with Hollywood stars.
It is co-produced by Reefer alums Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell and Alan Cumming.

The Rose Bowl Flea Market
This event takes place on the second Sunday of each month at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and has been going on for 50 years. It is massive.
